Giving Back

Giving Back

Here at Trident, we believe in giving back.  Through our many years serving both active duty and former military, we have met so many amazing people, heard their incredible stories and have seen first hand the lifelong effects of their service.

While we take joy in being able to help these people achieve homeownership, we also feel there is more we can do.  We have chosen 4 fantastic organizations that are working hard to help veterans.  We at Trident are committed to giving $250 of every closed transaction to whichever of these 4 charities our client chooses.  We also urge everyone to check out their websites to see the great work that is being done.  Here is more information about the programs:

Rainier Therapeutic Riding

Rainier Therapeutic Riding uses horses to facilitate physical and emotional healing for our nation's heroes and their families while promoting the growth of this mission throughout the world.

We strive to provide our services to our veterans of all ages, active duty, and their families and now all members of public civil service.  We offer a safe welcoming place for all to participate in our Program.

VetBikes

VetBikes.org is a Veteran run 501c3 non-profit which provides adaptive sports bicycles to recovering Veterans in the Washington and Colorado state areas.  While a bicycle can be adapted to meet unique needs of a physically disabled Veteran, the vast majority of our referrals and requests come from disabilities we can't see, and don't always require a bike heavily adapted to help in the treatment of their disability.

VetBikes is dedicated to cycling sport therapy and offers recovering Disabled Veterans a path where the supported Veterans can rise, and have risen, from introductory levels to international competition.  We provide a comprehensive program offering bicycle ownership, placement with local cycling clubs for community integration, sporting mentors, professional mechanical instruction, and an introductory path to a career in the cycling industry.  Our mission is proudly supported by a wide range of sponsors and partner organizations.

Operation Mend

UCLA Operation Mend is a groundbreaking program that provides military personnel with severe facial and other medical injuries access to the nation’s top plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Established in 2007 by philanthropist Ronald A. Katz and his wife, Maddie, the program is a partnership with UCLA Health, the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

All services are provided free of charge to military men and women. Donations to the program help pay for such expenses as the surgeries themselves, patient evaluations, transportation and housing for the patients and their families, care coordination and a multitude of additional patient services. As of November 2015, 135 patients from all branches of the military had participated in UCLA Operation Mend, which is funded almost entirely by private donations.
